The Grove is the perfect host for this event.
Our mission is to increase the representation of women in architectural and interior photography. We do this through community support and education.
Why do we do this?
Because 80% of photography students are women, yet only 15% of those women actually become professional photographers.
Because 85% of magazine covers are shot by men.
Because when you look up courses, tutorials, and articles to learn about interior or architectural photography… you barely find women sharing their expertise.

We want to change that.
Scratch that - we NEED to change that.

The Grove focuses on lots of support and content for the female photographer in her first couple of years photographing spaces, but this event is different. During the Retreat we take things to the next level so that connections are made face-to-face, conversations happen in a safe, intimate group, and the in-between moments create bonds that will last a lifetime. This retreat is the ultimate form of support - support for your business, your craft, and your soul.

It's not about getting you started, it's about elevating you to the next level.

So who is The Grove?
We were founded in 2019 by Natalia Robert, an architect-turned-interior photographer based out of Southern California. Natalia struggled in her path to learn this niche, and eventually felt the call to create the change herself. She has been there, done that, and had all those awkward conversations! The rest of the Grove team is all female interior photographers who have a multitude of superpowers like marketing genius, event coordination, and mad research skills. They all understand you because they are right there in that boat with you.
