The latest Lightroom update from Adobe brought a lot of changes! We’re going to dive in and take a look at these updates and how they may affect your workflow. The video below covers the major feature updates, but the list below the video covers all the changes. Time to play!
So let’s do a rundown of all the feature updates this time around.
Some performance improvements have been made, most noticeable when going through large catalogs and large collections.
Within the Point Curve mode, you can right-click and get a bigger menu of options. You’ll now see:
Reset Channel
Reset All Chanels
Copy Channel Settings
Paste Channel Settings
Snap to Grid
Show All Curves
The Color Panel now has a new look when selecting individual colors to adjust. (In video)
A Hue Adjustment slider has been added to the Local Adjustment Brush and the Gradient Filter. (In video)
A cloud icon has been added to the top right so that you can quickly see the status of your sync.
The Tone Curve section has been updated. (In video)
You now see an icon for Parametric Curve, Point Curve, and Red, Green, and Blue channels.Within the Point Curve mode, you can right-click and get a bigger menu of options. You’ll now see:

- You can now create ISO-Adaptive Presets. This lets you create a preset that has multiple ‘versions’ of it based on the original file’s ISO. Ideal for applying presets automatically on import.
- A Center crop overlay has been added for the Crop feature. Once in the Crop tool, go to Tool > Crop Guide Overlay > Center.
- New Default presets have been added within the Develop Module. (In video)
- Updates to the method of multi-batch exporting. You can now designate a different folder for each type of export, as well as different naming systems.
- Additional cameras and lenses are now supported. Here’s the full list of cameras and the full list of lenses.
- TIFF compression now works when editing in Photoshop
- Facebook plugin is no longer supported. Any collection set up in the plugin will now be found in the Collections panel.
